After earning a master’s degree in Business Engineering in Finance, I wanted to work abroad rather than stay in Belgium, where I’m from. Initially, I considered moving to a Mediterranean city, but ended up securing my first interesting job proposal in Luxembourg. I told myself I would give it six months to discover Luxembourg, but here I am today, fifteen years later, married with two boys and still loving the Grand Duchy.
After spending a few years in the banking industry, where I soon felt siloed, I sought a new challenge and broader exposure. This brought me to the third-party Management Company space. Ten years on, I am a Conducting Officer at one of the premier Super Management Companies in Luxembourg, applying my investment fund knowledge and expertise in funds operations, distribution and project management. Combining my skills in engineering with the firm’s ambitions for process automation is deeply fulfilling. The entrepreneurial spirit at ONE allows me to lead the development of proprietary in-house technology to support the automation of our control procedures, which has led to a material gain in efficiency and quality for our clients. In a market like Luxembourg, with all its resource challenges, technology is the future.
