#RedPin series / ONE profile: Geoffrey Hurault / Partner, Risk Management
As a college student, I knew I eventually wanted a career dealing with numbers. During my final year of undergraduate studies, I discovered applied mathematics, specifically financial mathematics, and made this the focus of my master’s program. While completing my degree and simultaneously interning at an international bank, I acquired basic knowledge of risk management, as well as metrics and calculation methodologies.
In 2013 I joined the risk management team of a large third-party management company. There, I was able to explore different aspects of the fund industry, especially risk management. With a passion for numbers and a keen interest in problem-solving, I developed my skills and applied my knowledge of the field to new projects in support of our growing business. My mentors were highly invested in helping me succeed. My skills expanded and I took on more and more responsibilities while building lasting relationships within my team.
Today, I feel lucky to be part of this amazing journey at ONE group solutions in my role as Partner, Risk Management. I could not enjoy my working environment more nor the team of smart, kind professionals I am now a part of, headed by Revel Wood and Steve Bernat.
